In light of the Covid-19 pandemic … New educational centres

In order to decrease the spread of the Coronavirus, most governments sought to suspend the educational process as a preventive measure to limit its spread. With the continuation of the crisis, it was necessary to search for alternative plans that seek to mitigate the impact of this emergency on the educational process.

Therefore, Watan began establishing 9 informal educational centres (emergency education)  within the educational emergency response campaign launched by UNICEF within a number of IDP camps in the Harem area in northern Idlib countryside in Deir Hassan, Kafr Lusin, Harza, and Tel Al-Karamah.

The centres under construction aim to integrate the students of these camps into the educational process as the camps lack any previous educational services, in addition to the possibility of providing remote educational services.

Watan will provide the centres with educational supplies, such as the necessary stationery with the aim of contributing to the education of more than 2000 displaced students in northern Syria.

In addition, Health facilities will be equipped with solar energy.
