Our Mission
12.4 million people – about 60% of Syria’s population – suffer from food insecurity with millions of them living in IDP camps. This Eid Al-Adha share the rewards by helping us distribute fresh Qurbani among them.

What is Qurbani?
During the month of Dhull Hijjah, Muslims sacrifice an animal (red meat), cow, goat or sheep as an act of devotion to Allah.
Why is it practised?
To reflect on the story of the Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) when he showed his willingness to sacrifice for the sake of Allah to prove his absolute devotion and trust in Him.
As a devotion and submission to Allah, Muslims sacrifice an animal to show their same willingness as Ibrahim (a.s.). To also practice patience and reflect on their character and relationship with Allah as well as helping the less fortunate.
Who has to give?
Muslims who are “eligible”, meaning that they are financially independent and participate in annual Zakat, are considered eligible. The sacrificed animals will then be fed to less fortunate Muslims who cannot afford to eat enough proteins on a daily basis.
